Chinese actor Yu Menglong has died at the age of 37 on Sep. 11, 2025.
His death was confirmed by his management studio in a Weibo statement, reported Global Times.
Fell from building
In the statement, his studio said that Yu died after falling from a building.
According to Global Times, the police have ruled out foul play.
"May the deceased rest in peace, and may the living remain strong," his studio wrote.
An initial unverified post on Weibo claimed that the actor had dinner with friends on the night of Sep. 10 and went to bed around 2am on Sep. 11 with his bedroom door locked, reported The Standard.
The post said his friends later found him unconscious on the ground floor at about 6am.
It was later deleted without further confirmation.
Yu was last seen online on Weibo at 9pm on Sep. 10.
Gained popularity from singing and acting
The actor first rose to fame when he kickstarted his singing career through talent shows such as "My Show" and "Happy Boys".
Born in Urumqi, Xinjiang in 1988, Yu started acting in 2014.
He was known for his roles in "Go Princess Go", "Eternal Love" and "Love Game in Eastern Fantasy".
Actress Yang Mi who acted as Yu's younger sister in popular drama "Eternal Love" paid tribute to him on Weibo.
She wrote, "4th brother, may you rest in peace."
