Do you often find yourself scrolling through TikTok or Instagram non-stop just before falling asleep? Or perhaps feel a sense of restlessness whenever you are not using your phone?

If you have wondered from time to time about how you can take charge of your digital wellbeing address these issues, this event by StarHub has got you covered.

From Sep. 13 to 14, StarHub is running its 5G Wellness Festival at Capitol Outdoor Plaza, aimed at helping participants unplug from constant digital usage and find their digital balance.

The event will feature different workshops and zones, such as silent disco yoga and mindful journaling, all of which are themed according to StarHub’s five grounding pillars of digital wellbeing (hence the 5G): Glow, Ground, Gather, Grow and Glide.

The best part? Entry is free.

All you have to do is sign up for your preferred workshop beforehand to secure your spot.

To enhance your experience of the festival, you can also take the StarHub Digital Balanced Media Index (BMI) quiz starting from Sep. 1 beforehand to find out more about the extent of your digital habits.

What is the Digital BMI quiz all about?

Upon completing the quiz, your digital habits will be ranked according to one of the following four levels and you will also receive a personalised wellbeing description that recommends the pillar to check out at the festival.

The levels are:

  • Digitally Detached (5-6) - preferring offline interactions and activities, taking a mindful and minimal approach to technology,
  • Digitally Balanced (7-10) - intentional about the time spent online, able to easily swap screen time for offline experiences,
  • Digitally Overstimulated (11-15) - usually caught in the scroll, jumping between apps and refreshing feeds. Often left feeling 'brain fog' or with restless energy,
  • Digitally Burnt Out (16-20) - chronically online, finding it hard to disconnect and fully engage with the real world.

You can then present your results at the festival to redeem a free phone wristlet.

So if you are looking to disengage, why not come down for a bit to Capitol Outdoor plaza to relax, treat yourself and maybe learn a new hobby in the meantime?
