Over 200 people on Air India flight to S'pore deplaned after waiting 2 hours due to cabin cooling issue
Flight AI3280 eventually departed at 5:36am (India time) after the aircraft was changed.
More than 200 passengers on an Air India flight bound to Singapore on Sep. 10 were told to disembark at Delhi Airport.
The plane cabin cooling system had apparently failed, leaving those on board warm and stuck for two hours.
According to The Times of India (TOI), flight AI3280 was supposed to depart at 11pm (India time) when the technical failure occurred.
Passengers waited for two hours
A post shared on X on Sep. 11 showed passengers in their seats fanning themselves with printed materials to cool down, as the plane's air-conditioner was down.

People waited on the plane for two hours before they were finally instructed to evacuate to the terminal building.

Took off after plane changed
According to Hindustan Times, an Air India spokesperson said passengers were kept updated about the delay.
The spokesperson added that the flight was delayed due to a cabin cooling issue on the ground before departure.
Ground staff at Delhi Airport also provided assistance, including meals and refreshments.
The flight eventually departed at 5:36am (India time) after the aircraft was replaced.
