Car rear-ended bus

A video shown to Shin Min Daily News by a reader showed several police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) vehicles on site.

The footage showed a silver multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that had crashed into the back of a Tower Transit bus, shattering its windows and damaging its bumper, with parts scattered on the road.

The bus had a dent in the rear.

In response to Shin Min's queries, a Tower Transit spokesman said the accident occurred while the bus was stationary and waiting for the traffic lights to turn green.

There were no passengers on board the bus at the time, he added.
