In response to Mothership's queries, a spokesperson from the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed the accident.

It had taken place along the PIE towards Tuas, before the Tuas Checkpoint exit.

A 30-year-old male trailer driver is assisting with investigations, SPF said.

Investigations are ongoing.
