Man, 31, apparently drunk, walks around MBS in underwear on National Day & throws fire extinguisher
Police arrested the man.
A 31-year-old man strolled around Marina Bay Sands (MBS) shopping mall in the wee hours of the morning on National Day — in his underwear.
The man, who was apparently drunk, was seen throwing a fire extinguisher off a walkway, while clothes and a rubbish bin could be seen in the indoor canal.
Police told Mothership that on Aug. 9 at around 4:40am, they received a call for assistance at 8 Bayfront Avenue.
The man was arrested for public drunkenness.
What he got up to
A clip of the incident shared to TikTok showed the man walking along a walkway on the B1 level of the Shoppes at Marina Bay, clad only in his underwear.
Below, a metal rubbish can and what appeared to be clothes were seen floating in the indoor canal, which is used for sampan rides during the day.

The video then panned back to the man, who picked up a fire extinguisher and threw it off the walkway, before continuing to walk forward.

Pictures from an eyewitness published by 8world showed the man lifting up a trash can while in his underwear, and a dented fire extinguisher lying on its side at the empty dining area of a restaurant.
Security personnel later managed to stop the man with the help of passersby, an eyewitness told 8world.
