Fake Mothership Facebook accounts touting bogus S$95 G-Shock watch & S$90 Coach bag deals
Another day, another scam.
More fraudulent Facebook accounts impersonating Mothership have been appearing on the feeds of social media users.
These fake accounts have been posting scam content disguised as legitimate promotions, similar to a fraudulent activity previously reported in June 2025.
How to identify fake accounts
The fake Mothership accounts would tout deals for products that are too good to be true.
This includes selling Casio G-Shock watches for S$95:
Another fake promotion was for a Coach bag that was fraudulently advertised as going for S$90:
Similar fake deals have been appearing in July 2025, and as recent as the first week of August 2025, including one that was peddling a Seiko watch for S$85.
Mothership can confirm that these posts were not offered by our platform.
How to spot fake deals
The social media accounts pretending to be Mothership tend to use profile photos that mimic Mothership's logo, but have low resolution and are usually pixelated.
The blue tick is frequently added onto the profile image itself.
The social media accounts are also poorly populated with photos and videos, and have few or non-existent likes and followers.
Members of the public should verify the authenticity of pages and links claiming to be affiliated with us before making any purchases.
