Flock of cyclists occupy 3 out of 4 lanes along Anson Rd, flanking cars
One cyclist appeared to gesture for the cam car to overtake.
One driver travelling along Anson Road was flanked by lines of cyclists as they moved off a traffic stop.
A video of the scene was posted to Facebook group ROADS.sg on Aug. 12.
Many cyclists
In the video, traffic can be seen moving off from a traffic stop, which included the car with the dashcam.
The traffic junction appears to be the one in front of 79 Anson Road and Mapletree Anson, at the junction of Anson Road and Palmer Road.
The car with the dashcam can be seen occupying the third lane of the four-lane road.
Meanwhile, cyclists can be seen on the other three lanes of the road.
As the car with the dashcam accelerates, lines of cyclists can be seen similarly speeding up.
More cyclists emerged from and travelled along the car's flanks.

As the car with the dashcam crosses the junction, one cyclist could be seen glancing back at the car.
The cyclist then gestures at the dashcam with his right hand.

It is unclear from the video when the incident occurred.
What people thought
In the comments, users expressed disapproval at the cyclists.
Some called for stricter enforcement measures.
One commenter surmised that the cyclist was merely gesturing his intention to filter left, and wondered "what the fuss was about."
Another opined that the cyclists may not be part of the same group.
According to LTA, cyclists should always ride "as close as practicable" to the far left edge of roads and allow traffic to overtake safely.
Cyclists should also keep to a maximum of five in a single file, or a maximum of ten if riding in two columns.
An LTA infographic on safe passing on overtaking on roads also mentions that cyclists should maintain a minimum distance of 30m or two lamp posts between groups.
They should also keep to a single lane and signal before changing lanes.
