Peng's family said that they repeatedly asked his friend to return Peng's passport and allow him to go back to Taiwan, but were rejected.

Seen acting weirdly on the street

Someone filmed the incident and uploaded it onto the internet.

He proceeded to lay down on a grass patch and started eating the soil.

Peng also allegedly smashed the windows and rearview mirrors of nearby vehicles before lying back down on the road.

He suddenly passed away, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later confirmed that according to a urine test report, Peng had at least three types of drugs in his body, including methamphetamine and marijuana.

The case was investigated as a sudden death.
