Motorcyclist, 23, dies after accident involving lorry at BKE near Woodlands Checkpoint
A 39-year-old male lorry driver is assisting with investigations.
A male motorcyclist, 23, died after an accident involving a lorry and a motorcycle near Woodlands Checkpoint on the morning of Jul. 25.
A male pillion rider, 23, was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership they were alerted to an accident along BKE towards PIE before the SLE exit at around 6:50am.
Videos shared online showed the left lane being blocked out with numerous police cars on site.
A blue tent can be seen near a lorry.
SPF and SCDF said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.

Police investigations are ongoing.
At around 8:40am, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) noted very heavy traffic congestion after Woodlands Checkpoint on the BKE towards the PIE, and advised arriving travellers to expect delays and cooperate with officers directing traffic on site.
By 12:20pm, it was announced that the accident site had been cleared and congestion had eased.
