Burglar in Spain breaks into home to steal things, ogles at woman sleeping naked in bed

When a woman and her partner discovered that 300 euros (S$450) was missing from their home in Spain, they checked their surveillance footage to verify if they had been burgled.

The couple, who live in Marbella, were shocked by what they saw.

Masked intruder stops by the bed

A masked intruder could be seen in the home surveillance footage wandering through the couple's house and looking directly at one of the surveillance cameras, En boca de todos TV footage showed.

He then crept into their bedroom with a torch and shone it across a woman's apparently naked body as she slept.

Throughout the video, the burglar repeatedly left the bedroom and returned to look at the woman's body.

After doing this eight times, the burglar eventually left the home with the money he stole.

At one point, the woman in bed was roused from her slumber, as she shifted her body in bed.

The thief sneaked out of the room.

The couple remained fast asleep throughout as they were reportedly exhausted from a trip to Germany, where the woman's partner had competed in a martial arts competition.

Could have been worse

The woman told local media that she and her partner believed the burglar had an ulterior motive.

She said: "That man didn't come to my house to steal, he came to do something to me. I was alone the night before. What if he'd come then? He entered our bedroom eight times to look at my private parts."

The thief did not take any other valuables from their home other than the money.

Traumatised

Feeling violated from watching the footage, the woman now sleeps with all of her doors and windows closed.

On top of that, she has swapped sides with her partner on the bed.

He now sleeps closer to the door.

But all of these preventive measures have done little to allay her fears, as she said she was suffering from recurring nightmares and is seeking psychological treatment to cope with her trauma.

The couple released the footage in hopes of capturing the intruder who is still at large.

Local police have launched an investigation but no arrests have been made.
