S'pore nasi padang chain Hjh Maimunah to roll out colour-coded price labels for dishes
The initiative will start with its Parkway Parade outlet.
The Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) is partnering with popular Nasi Padang chain Hjh Maimunah to introduce colour-coded price labels across all of its nine outlets.
Under the new system, dishes at Hjh Maimunah will come with colour-coded tags indicating their price range.

Specialty items such as Tahu Telur, Ayam Bakar, and Telur Ikan Paes will be marked with grey tags, while other dishes will be categorised accordingly for easy price identification.

The initiative will start with its Parkway Parade outlet.
The move follows a successful pilot with Koufu’s Economy Rice stalls, where colour-coded price labels helped diners better identify dish pricing before ordering.
In a press statement, Mr Melvin Yong, President of Case said:
"This will provide consumers with more transparent pricing and help customers make informed choices before they order. I thank HJH Maimunah for taking the lead, and I encourage all stall owners to adopt clear price labels for their dishes.”
