Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, former world champion in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), has died.
He was 71.
TMZ reported the news in the early hours of Jul. 25, 2025 (Singapore time).
He apparently suffered a cardiac arrest and was treated by paramedics called to his home in Clearwater, Florida.
Bollea was then taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Bollea was known worldwide for his iconic character Hulk Hogan, which propelled the WWF to unprecedented levels of popularity.
He feuded with the likes of Randy "The Machoman" Savage, Yokozuna and the Ultimate Warrior in the 1970s, '80s and '90s.
Bollea then moved to rival promotion World Championship Wrestling (WCW), becoming the villainous "Hollywood" Hogan as part of the New World Order stable, seeing another surge in popularity.
He would be involved in other projects, including Total Nonstop Action wrestling, but ultimately returned to the WWE.
In his later years, Bollea would be involved in controversial incidents, such as his lawsuit against Gawker website and being caught on tape uttering a racist slur.
He would return to the WWE for intermittent appearances after making "numerous apologies" and working with young people, and was reinstated into their Hall of Fame.
Bollea supported Donald Trump in his 2024 presidential election campaign, appearing at his convention.
Before his death, Bollea was about to embark on another project with former WCW promoter Eric Bischoff called Real American Freestyle wrestling.
