China is 'deeply concerned' about ongoing developments between Thailand & Cambodia
China maintains a fair and impartial stance, said China's foreign ministry.
China's foreign ministry has commented on the ongoing developments along the Thailand-Cambodia border.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), as reported in The Guardian, China's foreign ministry is "deeply concerned" and hopes that both sides will properly address issues through dialogue and consultations.
"Good-neighbourliness and properly handling differences are in line with the fundamental and long-term interests of both sides."
In a regular press conference, Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the foreign ministry, stated that China will play a constructive role in helping to de-escalate the conflict, although specifics were not reported.
Guo further adds that Beijing will "do its best to promote peace and dialogue" and that China maintains a fair and impartial stance in the dispute.
