Mandai Wildlife Reserve to offer 2D1N stays in safari-style tents from S$550 a night

From August, you'll be able to experience safari-style camping near the Singapore Zoo.
Colugo Camp, a new permanent campsite located at Mandai Wildlife East, will offer animal lovers a chance to stay overnight in the reserve.

The 2D1N experience includes a guided tour of the Singapore Zoo or River Wonders, as well as a chartered tram ride with live commentary at the Night Safari.
It also includes admission to all three parks.
Meals will be provided at a communal dining hall for campers, which include an international breakfast buffet and an Asian dinner buffet.
Scenic views
There'll be 20 safari-style tents at the campsite, each boasting scenic views of the reservoir.

Each tent can fit up to four people, and includes a queen-sized bed and a bunk bed.

To ensure you camp in comfort, they're all equipped with necessities like air-conditioning and wi-fi.
Shared toilet and shower facilities are also located on the campgrounds, including family-friendly and wheelchair-accessible options.
The experience starts at 3pm on the first day, and allows guests to roam around the Singapore Zoo for free.
This is followed by a facilitated visit to the Night Safari.
Here's the dining hall where guests can have their meals. It also serves as a space to chill.

The second day includes a guided tour of River Wonders, and the experience will then end at 11am.
In the wild
Prices start at S$550 for two people.
For three campers, it will cost S$700, and S$800 for four.
Campers under 21 will have to be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older in the same tent.
You can also extend your stay by adding extra nights at the same rate, or opt for additional activities at a fee.
