Marcus Chin won the "Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes" Award.
During his thank-you speech, he surprised the audience by reciting a poem in Mandarin - a signature move he has pulled off at previous Star Awards as well.
Chin said:
" I've been in the entertainment industry for 50 years. I do this for passion and not for the money. Radio and TV are my favourites, movies and getai are [just side-gigs] . Thank you for voting for me, [and] next year [please] continue [voting for me]."

During their on-stage exchange, the "God of Gamblers" star revealed that Chen had once said she hoped to interview him 30 years from now.
But things took a turn when host Guo Liang chimed in, teasing Chow that Chen’s real idol is actually Hong Kong actor Andy Lau.

Chow rolled his eyes and jokingly took back the trophy from Chen, much to the audience’s delight.
A fun, lighthearted moment to wrap up the night.
