A Singaporean man, 29, who went missing in Malaysia two days after getting married, has been found 15 hours after his disappearance.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the man's father-in-law stated that, with the assistance of the police from Sungai Long, the family was able to locate him.

The family added that the man was found safe.

He was reportedly located near Kuala Lumpur, roughly 30 minutes away by car from Sungai Long.

The police have not shared any details about where the man was found or other information, Sin Chew Daily added.

The family reportedly said they were not ready to disclose the reason for the man's disappearance.

Lost contact

He Wenhui (transliteration), a financial manager from Singapore, lost contact with his wife at around 5am on Jul. 7.

He, who had gotten married on Jul. 5, went out for a morning run in a park near his father-in-law's house in Sungai Long, Malaysia.

He apparently took a video on his phone at 5:02am to inform his wife that he would be home in 10 minutes. However, he became uncontactable after 5:17am.

His father-in-law told Sin Chew that He would often go for morning runs whenever he visited the area.

On the morning of Jul. 7, security footage captured He going out.

When he failed to return, his wife and in-laws began searching for him.

His family and friends in Singapore also rushed to Malaysia to assist with the search.

While searching the area, they discovered a pair of red slippers along the main road near a gas station close to the park.

The father-in-law confirmed to Sin Chew that He had been wearing those red slippers when he left the house that morning.
