WhatsappA Singapore Police Force (SPF) officer on a police motorcycle got into an accident along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), causing a jam.

In response to Mothership's queries, the SPF shared that on Jul. 8 at about 7:50 pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a police motorcycle along PIE towards Changi.

The motorcycle is believed to have self-skidded. The rider of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old male officer, was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

A video in the comments of a Facebook post, purportedly of the incident, showed the extent of the jam caused by the accident.

The first lane was blocked off with traffic cones, and numerous officers were on the scene, along with an ambulance and an Expressway Monitoring Advisory System truck.
