The security guard, who got knocked out by a trained mixed martial arts (MMA) outside a condominium in Malaysia, has spoken up to share his side of the story.

Muhammad Alim Muhamad Adnizam, 24, who is now known online as the "'Touch me bro' security guard" after a video of the fight circulated widely online, said he is "not a fighter" and has no knowledge of fighting.

Alim added that the incident stemmed from a misunderstanding between him and Tony Lim, 22, which started inside the condominium area.

But the misunderstanding escalated, Alim told Harian Metro.

"Can't relax"

"At that time, I had finished work and was about to change shifts and there was a misunderstanding with the 'fighter'," Alim said.

"I was doing my job, suddenly people came, so I couldn't relax, that's what caused the fight."

He added: "I'm the type of person who has a hot temper, I just do my job but don't mess around."

He received four stitches on his lip as a result of injuries following the fight.

Didn't know why video put up

Alim said that after the incident, he and Tony filed a report at the police station in Puchong, Selangor before making peace.

He said: "This matter should have been resolved because we were done shaking hands and promised not to spread (the video) and both of us admitted our mistakes before leaving the police station."

"But a few days later, I found out from a friend about the viral video."

"Then my uncle and relatives asked what had happened. I didn't know it could spread like that."

"I was embarrassed because I lived in a flat with my family, there were a lot of people there, but I had to put on a brave face because things had already happened," he said.

Live life as usual

Alim said this was the second time he had been involved in an altercation, but the previous one involved another individual and was not spread widely online.

Alim said he has no choice but to continue living life as usual.

Transferred to another property

According to him, he is also no longer working at the condominium where the fight took place and has been transferred by his employer to another property.

He said it was fortunate his employer allowed him to continue working.

People criticise him when they see him

"I read the comments, no one threatened me but many gave advice. The criticism is normal, I just accept it because in the video I can see my head bounce," he said.

He said the police are investigating and cannot comment further.

He said: "The lesson is to control your emotions because when things like this happen, you are ashamed of yourself even though the case is just a small thing."

"Don't be too quick to judge whether it's right or wrong because these are the days of online virality. The case is still under investigation, I can't say anything, I'll just wait and accept the authorities' decision," he added.

"I also want to apologise to everyone and my family for what happened."

"Now, even when I go out, some people criticise me, but there's nothing I can do because things have already happened," he said.
