Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is allegedly planning to announce his resignation as he grapples with the fallout of the disastrous results of upper house elections.
Reports of Ishiba’s impending resignation come from Japanese outlet Mainichi, who said that Ishiba has spoken about the situation to those close to him.
The report indicates that Ishiba plans to make the announcement before the end of July, but did not say precisely when.
