2 found dead after Toa Payoh flat catches fire
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Two people were found dead in a flat that caught fire at Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.
In a Facebook post by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), they said they responded to a fire at Block 173 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh at 7:30pm on Jul. 22.
When SCDF arrived, the living room of a second-floor unit was on fire, and the unit was filled with smoke.
The firefighters entered the unit and extinguished the fire with a water jet.
During the operation, the firefighters found two unresponsive persons inside the unit and immediately carried them out.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation," said SCDF.
