Rest in peace.
A 77-year-old Esso petrol station attendant died of his injuries after he was hit by a reversing car in Geylang.
He had been trying to refuel the vehicle, Shin Min Daily News reported.
The incident took place on Jun. 28.
The man was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he received treatment over the next 11 days.
But he eventually succumbed to his injuries on Jul. 8.
P-plate driver arrested
According to a witness, the driver had pulled up at an empty pump at around 2:20am.
But when the attendant walked over to serve him, the car suddenly reversed and hit him.
An appeal for witnesses was subsequently put up outside the petrol station.

Employees who witnessed the incident said that after being hit, the attendant was still conscious and able to move.
The car involved bore a probationary licence plate (P-plate), the witness said.
He added that the driver appeared in a rush, and was making a phone call at the time.
P-plates indicate that the driver has less than a year of experience driving.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force confirmed that the victim was conveyed to hospital, but subsequently died.
A 24-year-old male car driver was arrested in relation to the case.
Investigations are ongoing.
Friendly, enthusiastic
The deceased was friendly and enthusiastic, and had a good relationship with his colleagues, said the duty manager of the petrol station's Cheers outlet.
He had been working there for about two years.
Another employee, who witnessed the incident from a distance, said the elderly man was kind.
They would exchange pleasantries at the end of every work day, he said.
A spokesperson from the FairPrice Group, which owns Cheers, confirmed the death of the petrol station attendant.
They are in touch with the man's family, and are committed to providing them with their full support and any assistance required, the spokesperson said.
