Springleaf Prata Place has just opened its first vending machine concept store in Singapore.
Located at the Lion City Sailors Football Academy along Mattar Road, members of the public can now purchase ready-to-eat pratas from the vending machine while on the go.
The initiative is part of a collaboration with local vending machine brand One Halal Nation.
In a TikTok video on Jul. 6, founder and owner of One Halal Nation, Amanda Atan, confirmed the opening of the vending machine.
Speaking to Mothership, Atan revealed that the launch came after three years of discussion with her secondary school friend.
"We've been trying to see how best we can work with the community," she said.
According to Atan, the prata is freshly prepared every morning before it is sealed and delivered daily to the vending machine.
"For hot vending machines, we need to clear the machine within 24 hours from the initial restock of the food. But for us, we usually clear the food within six to 12 hours."
Customers can choose between two plain pratas or one egg prata and one plain prata.
Each cup of prata comes with a small portion of fish curry and costs S$3.80.
The vending machine also offers other savoury options from the prata chain like mee goreng and nasi goreng.
