3 pedestrians injured after car accident at Bukit Batok junction, driver assisting with investigations

A car accident involving a car and three pedestrians happened at the junction of Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 and Avenue 8 on the evening of Jul. 3.

The police confirmed with Mothership that a 36-year-old female pedestrian, and two male pedestrians, aged 44 and 58, were conveyed while conscious to the hospital.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership they were alerted to a road traffic accident at around 9:35pm.

Two people were taken to the National University Hospital and one was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

A 45-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations, the police added.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Videos sent in by a Mothership reader, Faraizzati, showed a man attending to a woman who appeared to be injured.

He was seen supporting her upper body while her head remained lowered.

Another man was also seen sitting on the ground near the lady.

One video showed the car on the median strip, having appeared to have crashed into a tree.

An ambulance was also present at the scene.

According to the reader, the vehicle allegedly only drove off when the light turned red, resulting in the woman being hit and injured in the process.
