'Absolute madness': M'sia minister on video of 3-month old baby getting raped being sold online
Unthinkable.
Malaysia's Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail spoke to Malaysian reporters about a three-month-old baby being raped and the heinous act recorded on video and subsequently sold online.
He was speaking during the ministry's monthly assembly on Jul. 16.
“The baby was raped. Not only that, the act was recorded on video and later sold (online). It is absolute madness,” he said.
He noted that it was a major issue and that he was briefed at midnight.
“If you are briefed at midnight, then it is a major issue,” he said.
According to New Straits Times, the minister didn't disclose whether the case occurred in Malaysia or not.
He added that the ministry is planning to strengthen the Federal Criminal Investigation Department Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division's capabilities.
The minister did not elaborate further on the case.
