Singapore Airlines' budget arm Scoot will be giving out 4.91 months of bonus to eligible staff for 2024/25 financial year, which ended on Mar. 31, 2025.
The amount was revealed by Scoot in a Jun. 3 TikTok.
According to the video, the airline's leaders, including chief executive officer (CEO) Leslie Thng, announced the bonus amount by holding up placards bearing numbers in front of Scoot employees.
At the end of the video, Scoot also thanked its staff for their hard work and dedication.
In response to Mothership's queries, a Scoot spokesperson confirmed that the airline's employees will receive a profit-sharing bonus "in recognition of their dedication and hard work in FY2024/25".
Without specifying the exact amount, the spokesperson said it was calculated "based on a formula that has been agreed with [its] staff union".
For FY2022/2023, eligible Scoot staff received a bonus of around six months.
SIA Group registered record net profit for FY2024/25
Scoot's latest announcement came after its parent company, Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, posted a record-breaking net profit of S$2.778 billion for FY2024/25.
This translates to a 3.9 per cent increase from SIA's net profit for FY2023/24, which was S$2.675 billion.
According to the airline, one of the factors behind its strong financial performance was its increased group revenue.
Driven by "resilient demand for air travel and cargo uplift" in the financial year, SIA's revenue grew by 2.8 per cent to S$19.54 billion.
Specifically, SIA and Scoot carried a record 39.4 million passengers, marking an 8.1 per cent increase from the 2023/24 financial year.
In recognition of its staff's dedication and hard work, SIA would be giving out a profit-sharing bonus of 7.45 months to its employees.
