Motorcyclists attack S'pore Maserati for causing fatal accident after making illegal U-turn at Second Link
One motorcyclist died at the scene from severe head injuries.

A Singapore-registered Maserati allegedly made an illegal U-turn on the Malaysia–Singapore Second Link on May 9 evening, which then led to multiple crashes involving motorcycles and other vehicles in both directions of the land crossing.
One motorcyclist died from head injuries following the accident at about 6:30pm, New Straits Times (NST) reported on May 10.
What footage showed
Footage showed a red Maserati travelling towards Johor making an illegal U-turn at an opening in the road divider.
The Singapore car then stalled on the opposite side of the road on the left-most lane as it was damaged after making the U-turn.
The road divider barrier was apparently dislodged and extended towards the right-most lane of the road in the opposite direction, where vehicles were travelling towards Singapore, NST reported.

The motorcyclist that hit the road divider died at the scene from severe head injuries.
The storage box fitted to the victim's motorcycle was flung into the opposite lane and caused motorcycles in the opposite direction to crash as well.
Two other motorcyclists subsequently crashed into the box but escaped injury, NST reported.
Other motorists on the road had to take evasive action to not hit those who have fallen.
Motorcyclists confront Maserati driver
Multiple motorcyclists then surrounded the Maserati and used their helmets to smash its windows and windscreen.
At that time, a Malaysia police officer at the scene was seen staving off the motorcyclists' attacks but to no avail.
Subsequently, more police officers arrived and the Maserati driver and a passenger were escorted to the side of the road.
Those at the scene could be heard hurling vulgarities at the duo.
The alleged Maserati driver who was escorted by the Malaysia police appeared distraught.
All this while the police officers had to stop the crowd of motorcyclists from attacking or confronting the two men who had emerged from the Maserati.
One person on the road then confronted the Maserati driver and the passenger and filmed the exchange.
When questioned, the person dressed in a black top said in Malay: "I didn't hit his vehicle, he hit the divider."
The person off-camera asked: "How many people are involved in the accident?"
The person dressed in black replied: "I don't know. I didn't see."
NST reported that the Malaysia police is expected to issue a statement soon.
