Man, 32, drives lorry into building wall near Tanjong Pagar, arrested for suspected drug abuse
No injuries were reported.
A 32-year-old man was arrested this morning after driving his lorry into the wall of Jit Poh Building at 19 Keppel Road.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) told Mothership that they were alerted to the incident at around 10:15am on May 23.
Photos circulated online showed the area surrounding the building being cordoned off with white tape.
Numerous police officers and police cars were present at the scene.
The police said the man was believed to be under the influence of intoxicating substances.
He was subsequently arrested for rash act and suspected drug abuse.
No injuries were reported.
The suspected drug abuse has been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).
Police investigations are ongoing.
