Liverpool Football Club fans in Singapore will be celebrating the club's record-equalling 20th league title with an open-top bus parade in downtown Singapore on May 25.

The trophy lifting ceremony is expected to be held at Liverpool's home ground Anfield, after their final league match against Crystal Palace on May 25.

According to the Facebook page of the official Liverpool FC Singapore supporters' club, the bus parade route is a loop that starts and ends at the Westin Singapore.

It will pass by landmarks in the Central Business District (CBD) such as Marina Bay Sands, the Esplanade, the Fountain of Wealth and Orchard Road.

The parade will have two scheduled time slots, at 6:30pm and 7:30pm, with two buses per wave.

Participants are charged S$30 per head for the bus parade.

This will be followed by a watch party for Liverpool's match against Crystal Palace at the Westin Singapore at 10pm.

Registration for the bus parade has been closed as of May 23.

According to the fan club, it initially had only arranged for the 6:30pm slot, but an additional time slot was added "due to overwhelming response".

"From Westin Singapore to Suntec across MBS, to Tanglin and down the streets of Orchard Road, we’ll be taking the city by storm, singing loud and proud! Let's make it a celebration to remember..... flags up, spirits high, and cameras ready! Another history in the making!" the fan club wrote.

On Apr. 27, the Reds won their 20th league title with a 5-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

They have now equalled the record of their fierce rivals, Manchester United, who have also won 20 English league titles.

Singapore is not the only country internationally where celebrations have been organised by Liverpool supporters.

In Ipoh, an open-top bus parade will also be held on May 25 to celebrate the historic title, The Star reported.

A representative of the Ipoh fan club organising the parade said that a mock Premier League trophy would be also brought aboard the bus for the parade.
