Tiong Bahru residents post 'urgent' sign after finding out their HDB blocks will be painted purple allegedly without 'voting process'
Actually not bad what.

Two blocks of flats at Tiong Bahru were purportedly about to be painted purple — and apparently without residents' input.
Signs, apparently put up by some disgruntled residents, were seen at Block 9A and 9B Boon Tiong Road, criticising the paint job as being "the most saturated and awful purple".
The residents alleged that they called the Town Council and were informed that there had been no voting process on the decision.
They then urged other residents to contact the Town Council or newly-elected Member of Parliament (MP) Foo Cexiang.
When Mothership went down on May 12 and 13, a resident had apparently scribbled below the sign: "I like the colour."
"Are you colour blind?" another resident shot back.

The conversation carried on the next day.
A note reading "are you the contractor" appeared, purportedly on the side of the colour blind accusation camp.
Here is the purple we saw for the blocks.
Here's what the original colour appears to be, although you can make out what looks like cracks in the paint.
However while the focus has been on these two blocks due to the resident's sign, the purple-ification of the area seems to have been going on for a while now.
With even one block being full purple.
Foo's response
Foo has also published his response on Facebook.
The response was printed out and put up beside the resident's signs.
"Several of you have written to me on the painting of your blocks. I am looking into this urgently — to understand the context and also plan the steps ahead, including to engage you," Foo wrote in his May 10 Facebook post.
He added that he has requested a pause on the works.
Typically, when it's time for HDB blocks to be repainted, the Town Council proffers a few different colour schemes as options.
The residents then cast their votes for their colour scheme of choice.
