Yum.
Fans of gelato, this one's for you.
Australian gelato brand Gelato Messina just opened its first outlet in Singapore on May 6.
Those with a sweet tooth can head over to the intersection of Club and Cross Street, located near Raffles Place MRT Station, for a bite of the creamy dessert.
40 flavours to choose from
When Mothership went down for its opening, a crowd was already ready to try what the ice cream chain had to offer.
The store features 40 different flavours, with 35 core flavours and five rotating specials.
This includes conventional flavours such as Chocolate Chip gelato and Mango sorbet, as well as more interesting flavours like Hokey Pokey gelato, and Salted Coconut and Mango Salsa sorbet.
The handmade gelato is churned in-house daily, with all ingredients, such as brownies, cake, and sauces, being made from scratch as well.
The store offers Singapore-specific flavours too:
- Kaya Toast: Kaya gelato with dehydrated toast and kaya jam
- Teh Tarik: Milk tea gelato
- Tau Huay: Lightly sweetened tofu gelato
- Yolk’s On You: Salted egg yolk gelato with gula melaka caramel
- Singapore, How You Durian?: Coconut gelato with durian jam and durian cake
