SDP releases campaign slogan for GE2025: 'Thrive, not just survive'

The Singapore Democratic Party has released its campaign slogan for GE2025, titled “Thrive, not just survive”.

Calling for an alternative vision and change that will ease hardships for Singaporeans, the party will focus on two main objectives in its election campaign.

Lowering the cost of living

1. Reducing the GST to 7 per cent or even 5 per cent and scrapping it on everyday essentials
2. Implementing the party's Non-Open market scheme for BTO flats to make housing affordable
3. Lowering medical expenses so Singaporeans can focus on living a healthy life

Protecting jobs and empowering Singaporeans

1. Prioritising Singaporeans and reducing the influx of foreign PMETs
2. Introducing a Minimum Wage Act
3. Providing support to reduce mental health problems

SDP attributed factors such as the raised cost of living and increased job insecurity to PAP policies.

They also urge for a “more compassionate Singapore”:

“We want a bold society which flourishes with creative ideas and innovation; a society that lifts everyone up, and one that truly feels like home”.
