Man, 38, allegedly smashes police car window with forehead while drunk in Sembawang, gets arrested
He will be charged with vandalism.
The Singapore police have arrested a 38-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of vandalism.
The police said they received a call for assistance on Apr. 16 at 4:55am at Block 463 Sembawang Drive, where a man was believed to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance.
The man was subsequently arrested for causing annoyance whilst drunk.
During the arrest, the man allegedly smashed his forehead against the left passenger window of the police vehicle, causing damage to the window.
He will be charged in court on Apr. 17 with vandalism.
The offence carries a fine not exceeding S$2,000 or a jail term of up to three years, as well as three to eight strokes of the cane.
The police said they have zero tolerance towards acts of vandalism and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
