Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has unveiled a fourth slate of People's Action Party's (PAP) new faces.

The 10 individuals, introduced in an Apr. 16 video posted on social media, are:

  • Jackson Lam, 40, former Hougang PAP branch chair
  • Charlene Chen, 43, academic
  • Victor Lye, 63, former Aljunied PAP branch chair
  • David Neo, 47, former army leader
  • Lee Hui Ying, 36, former civil servant
  • Gabriel Lam, 42, moving company chief operating officer
  • Lee Hong Chuang, 55, former Hougang PAP representative
  • Syed Harun Alhabsyi, 38, former Nominated MP

New face

Apart from Cai, all the new faces have previously been spotted walking the ground in various constituencies.

A former Straits Times Singaporean of the Year, Cai has founded and co-founded various social initiatives over the past 10 years, such as backalleybarbers, which offers free haircuts to migrant workers.

On the same day that the video went out, Cai posted a short but telling message on Facebook, showing himself dressed in a white shirt bearing the PAP logo:

"Responding to PM Lawrence Wong's call for young people to serve.

Here I am, Singapore."

It is unclear which constituency he will stand in.
