Multi-currency digital wallet YouTrip has launched its Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) wallet on Apr. 16.

Now available to all users in Singapore, the wallet allows users to exchange and store MYR within the YouTrip app.

According to a YouTrip press release, this function allows users to "lock in exchange rates ahead of time to reduce the risk of volatile currency movements".

As part of the launch, YouTrip is also offering free shuttle bus rides to Johor Bahru (JB).

Over 15,000 slots will be available across four weekends:

  • Apr. 19 and 20
  • Apr. 26 and 27
  • May 3 and 4
  • May 10 and 11

The shuttles will run between 9am and 9:30pm, at 30-minute intervals (subject to traffic conditions).

The shuttle service will start from Kranji MRT station and end at Mid Valley Southkey (North Entrance).

The return trips to Singapore will depart from the same location at Mid Valley Southkey.

The slots can be pre-booked via this sign-up form.

Slots for the week of Apr. 19 and 20 have opened. Meanwhile, slots for the upcoming weeks will be released every Monday ahead of the corresponding weekend.

Each user can reserve only one round-trip slot, which is non-transferable, and users must be present at the allocated timeslot.
