On the last day of Stefanie Sun's "Aut Nihilo" concerts in Singapore, fans were surprised by the guest appearance of fellow Singaporean Mandopop star JJ Lin.

And Sun apparently was as well.

Lin went on stage when Sun was singing one of her biggest hits "What I miss" during the second half of the concert.

Sun did not know that Lin would make this appearance even though she had thought of inviting him to perform with her.

After finding out that Lin was supposed to be overseas, she decided not to as she did not like to trouble her friends.

However, Lin and the concert director planned this surprise for her.

I really miss seeing Yan Zi on stage: JJ Lin

Lin asked Sun if she's surprised or shocked.

The Mandopop queen replied that she's both surprised and shocked by his appearance.

"I must come back and come here, because I really, really miss you," Lin told Sun.

"Just like your fans, I've waited for Yan Zi, the Yan Zi [that performs] on the stage, for 11 years. Finally, I can feel and witness you shine on stage again, this is why I chose to appear in this song."

"He's really a walking CD. I was thinking, 'Oh my, I didn't know he's coming and he's still singing at my key'," Sun also shared, saying how impressed she was at Lin's ability to sing and harmonise with her, before raising a thumbs up.

Lin is now in his final lap of his JJ 20 World Tour, and he flew back from Australia specially for Sun.

A star-studded night

Besides Lin, the last day of Sun's concert in Singapore also saw the attendance of a few local celebrities, such as Zoe Tay, Chantalle Ng, Mark Lee and Sharon Au.

Prior to this, Sun also sang Lin's song "She says" after the song was selected by Chen Diya, the singer of the Singapore Mandopop folk duo The Freshman.

This happened during the segment where Sun screened a menu of songs for fans to pick for her to sing.

Chen said she chose this song because she had hoped to see Lin sing it with her.

That excited the crowd who cheered on and support the song choice.

The start of a regional tour

Sun's four days of "Aut Nihilo" concert in Singapore kickstarted her regional tour.

The Latin phrase "Aut Nihilo" means “or nothing at all” in English.

She will subsequently be travelling to other cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, just to name a few.
