Sembawang Secondary School students seen pushing & kicking student in rubbish bin
The school has taken disciplinary action.
At least six students from Sembawang Secondary School were filmed tossing and pushing a boy inside a dustbin.
A video of the incident later surfaced online and was shared in the Sgfollowsall Telegram group.
In the 6-second clip, the boy was seen scrunching his face when he was pushed around with his feet and hands outside of the bin.
One student kicked the bin, causing it to topple.
The boy inside fell to the ground along with it.
At least 10 other students were seen watching and laughing.
Disciplinary action taken
In response to queries from Mothership, the principal of Sembawang Secondary School said the school is aware of the incident.
"We take the safety and well-being of our students seriously and do not tolerate any form of hurtful behaviour," she said.
She added that they have counselled the students involved and "taken disciplinary action as appropriate to help them learn from the incident".
The school has also engaged the parents of the affected students.
