Commuters passing through Chinatown may have experienced some traffic congestion on the afternoon of Apr. 12.

The reason? Several egg cartons had ended up on the road opposite Chinatown Point.

A tongue-in-cheek post, labelling it an "eggcident" in Chinatown, was shared to Reddit at around 2pm.

'Place still smells of egg'

At around 2:53pm, a Mothership reader passing through the area shared more pictures of the scene.

By that time, cleanup works were well underway.

"The place still smells like egg though," the reader remarked.
