WhatsappA woman was pulled out of the waters at Lower Seletar Reservoir Park on Mar. 22, but passed away in hospital later.

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) was alerted at around 11:55am.

The 55-year-old woman was then retrieved from the waters and conveyed unconscious to the hospital, where she subsequently passed away.

According to Shin Min Daily News (Shin Min), a witness noted numerous Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and SPF personnel at the scene.

The witness told the Chinese news outlet that he spotted a wheelchair on the grass slope near the water.

Another man told Shin Min that he saw police cars and fire trucks along the side of the road when he went there to fish around 1pm.

A platform extending from the park to the reservoir was also blocked, as several police officers were at the scene.

The man added that he saw someone being taken away on a stretcher to an ambulance.

The police told Mothership that based on preliminary investigations, they do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.
