Woman in China, 34, falls from height & dies allegedly after botched wisdom tooth surgery
The dentist has since been suspended from seeing patients.
A 34-year-old woman in China reportedly fell to her death at a hospital in China after being left in extreme pain from a wisdom tooth surgery.
The woman had claimed that the dentist pulled out the wrong tooth and tried to force it back in without the use of anaesthetic.
Prior to her death on Mar. 17, she alleged that the dentist denied making the mistake and the hospital changed the medical records of the surgery to cover it up.
The dentist has been suspended from duty while authorities are investigating the matter.
Faced extreme pain from botched surgery
According to Chinese news outlets, the woman, surnamed Wu, underwent wisdom tooth surgery on Mar. 12 at Anqing Municipal Hospital in China's Anhui province, but the procedure did not go smoothly.
In videos uploaded to Douyin under the username "逆风飞翔", the woman had shared her side of the story prior to her death.

Wu claimed that after pulling out one of her teeth, the dentist forced it back in and tied several of her teeth with a metal wire.
She further claimed that there was no anaesthesia given to her during the one-and-a-half-hour operation, so she had to endure the pain.

Wu said she was in extreme pain after the surgery. She claimed that her gums bled, and she could not eat or sleep properly.
Afterwards, Wu consulted another doctor and underwent an X-ray examination.
She found out that the dentist had pulled out the wrong tooth and put it back in.

Wu alleged that the dentist denied making a mistake, and the hospital doctored her medical records after the botched surgery.
Medical records indicated that Wu had received local anaesthesia during the operation and that her wisdom tooth had been correctly extracted, Red Star News reported.
Wu added that she was left traumatised by the incident, and demanded an explanation from the hospital.

However, on Mar. 17, Wu was found dead after falling from a height at the hospital.
The videos regarding the matter have since been taken down from the Douyin account.
Fell from height after visiting hospital to 'negotiate' matter
Wu's brother told China Newsweek that Wu's face was swollen from the surgery, her teeth were damaged and she couldn't sleep at night due to the pain.
Wu's brother said Wu subsequently went to the hospital on Mar. 17 to negotiate the matter.
Wu could not get through to several departments at the hospital for about half an hour, Sin Chew Daily reported citing Chinese news outlets.
Prior to the fall, Wu had recorded a video blaming the hospital for "causing her harm", and claiming she had been "deceived from beginning to end".
The hospital subsequently offered Wu's family 100,000 yuan (S$18,420) as compensation, but they refused it, asking to see footage of the incident.
As of Mar. 20, the dentist involved has been suspended from seeing patients pending the hospital's investigations, Jimu News reported.
The Anqing Municipal Health Commission and Public Health Bureau are also investigating the matter, China Newsweek reported.
Wu leaves behind a husband and a 10-year-old son who has autism.
Wu's husband said that based on preliminary investigations, the police have ruled out foul play.
