Smiths Authentic British Fish & Chips at Balmoral Plaza to close after 14 years due to rising costs

One of the long-standing F&B mainstays in Balmoral Plaza is closing down in May.
Smiths Authentic British Fish & Chips at Balmoral Plaza made the announcement on their Facebook on Mar. 28.
In their post, Smiths thanked their customers for an incredible 14 years.
They attributed the impending closure to "rising costs".

According to their website, Smiths started off in 2006, and is "solely" owned by two "British gentlemen", who run the business day to day with a true passion.
They also claim that theirs is the "only true authentic" British fish and chips in Singapore.

They ended their Facebook post saying they would love to see their customers a few more times before they close.
"We’d love to see you a few more times before closing our doors. Come down, reminisce, and enjoy your favorite fish & chips with us!"
