Anchor minister Ong Ye Kung introduces 2 new faces in Sembawang GRC
Both new faces are in the corporate sector.

Health Minister Ong Ye Kung introduced two new faces in Sembawang GRC on Mar. 29.
Ong, who is the anchor minister and MP for Sembawang GRC, called Gabriel Lam and Ng Shi Xuan a "dynamic duo" while introducing them in his speech at the launch of the OCBC SeniorCare programme at the Bukit Canberra ActiveSG Sport Hall on Mar. 29.
Ong said that Sembawang is "fortunate to have two capable leaders" in the north of Singapore. He explained to his elderly residents in Mandarin that they are his "Guan Yu" and "Zhang Fei", referring to the two legendary generals in the Romance of The Three Kingdom historical novel.

Recently, he was seen at a community event with Tampines GRC MP and Senior Minister of State Koh Poh Koon.
Addressing close to 1000 attendees at the OCBC event, Lam said that while he does not stay in Sembawang, his family moved to Sembawang GRC in 1988 when it was first formed.
He added that he was in the first batch of primary one students in Huamin Primary School.
He said: "People know me as the mover of things [...] in Sembawang I want to move lives."
Lam also said that he'll be meeting a lot of the Sembawang residents in the coming week to get to know them better.
"I hope to hear your stories and together see where I can add value to the team."
Ng Shi Xuan, 35, is the director of battery company Powermark Battery and Hardware Trading.

Ng shared that he is married to a preschool principal and together they have three children between the ages of one and six.
He said that he grew up in Yishun Ring Road for the first 10 years of his life.
Ng, who is also MacPherson Youth Network's vice-chairperson, said he has been a grassroots volunteer in MacPherson for 10 years.
In his time as a volunteer, he said: "In these 10 years, some of the skills I picked up include listening to residents' concerns and acting on their various causes that they are passionate about, especially for young families and youths."
He ended his speech saying: "In the coming days, I hope to have the opportunity to get to meet all of you to understand you and get to know Sembawang better."
