Masagos: Workers' Party left ‘vacuum’ by not contesting Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC
WP had contested in Marine Parade during the past two general elections.

Speaking to the media at the unveiling of the PAP team's manifesto for Tampines GRC, anchor minister Masagos Zulkifli provided his thoughts on the Workers' Party's decision not to contest Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC.
The party contested in the area in the past two general elections.
"The fact that Workers' Party is in Tampines and not in Marine Parade is a question that Workers' Party should answer," said Masagos, who is also the Minister for Social and Family Development.
"They apparently want to compete here and left a vacuum in Marine Parade, and that's something their leadership should answer."
Regardless of whoever stages a challenge, the PAP team has to be ready, said Masagos.
"[We need to] build on the promises that we delivered, and show what we can do as a team so that residents continue to benefit from the work that we all put in together."
Earlier today after Singaporeans learned that the Workers' Party would not be contesting Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, party chief Pritam Singh said the party had to make the difficult choice of where to deploy their limited resources.
Singh said that this was so as the electoral boundaries got redrawn ahead of GE2025.
