On Mar. 22, United Airlines flight 198 to Shanghai, departed from Los Angeles only to turn around about two hours later after they found out that one of their pilots had forgotten his passport.
According to CNN, the flight had 257 passengers on board.
The pilot had made the announcement in a "very frustrated voice" over the plane's intercom, a passenger on the plane had told CNN.
The forgotten passport eventually led to the plane arriving in Shanghai six hours behind schedule.

This is, quite unbelievably, not the first time this month a pilot from the same airline has forgotten their passport, leading to some delay.
According to Business Insider, a United pilot had forgotten his passport earlier in March.
On Mar. 14, flight UA8587 was delayed before departure to due to one of their pilots "not having their passport".
