Motorcyclist, 28, flung into the air in Yishun after car driver attempted to beat red light
The motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
A car driver tried to beat a red light at a junction in Yishun and collided with a motorcyclist who was turning right, flinging the rider into the air.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership they were alerted to an accident at the junction of Yishun Avenue 8 and Yishun Industrial Park A on Mar. 12 at around 7:40am.
A 28-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
What happened
In a video posted on Facebook, a motorcyclist could be seen turning right at the junction.
As the traffic light turned from amber to red, a car suddenly sped up amd knocked into the motorcyclist, flinging him into the air.
The rider then skidded across the road.

Other motorcyclists could be seen rushing to help the fallen rider.
Commenters online were divided, with some blaming the driver for attempting to beat the red light.
Others said the motorcyclist was too hasty when turning.
A 31-year-old driver is assisting with investigations, said police.
Police investigations are ongoing.
