A 58-year-old man in Singapore will be charged on Mar. 13 for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 56-year-old man in Boon Lay.
According to a press release by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on Mar. 12, the incident occurred in a HDB flat on Mar. 11.
It was previously confirmed that it happened at Block 187 Boon Lay Avenue.
What happened
Police said that they were alerted to the scene at about 11:35am on the same day.
When officers arrived, they found the 56-year-old man lying motionless inside the unit.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 58-year-old man was later arrested at the same location.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both men are known to each other, and were understood to be brothers.
The younger man's neighbour claimed that she frequently heard "loud arguments" from the flat, but did not know the context of the arguments.
To be charged
The 58-year-old man will be charged in court on Mar. 13 for alleged murder.
If found guilty, he may face the death penalty.
Investigations are ongoing.
