Police raid Bukit Timah Good Class Bungalow operating as gambling den & other areas
Multi-location raids.
A total of 29 men and 33 women, aged between 18 and 73, are being investigated for various offences following a series of multi-agency enforcement raids conducted from Mar. 5 to 8 across Singapore.
These operations are part of the Singapore Police Force's ongoing efforts to target illegal and criminal activities.
The operations at various locations including Toa Payoh, Novena, Bukit Timah Road, Orchard Road, Balestier Road and Selegie Road, were led by Tanglin Police Division and supported by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
Areas targeted
Massage establishments
On Mar. 5, officers from Tanglin Police Division, HDB and ICA conducted enforcement operations against various massage establishments and commercial units in the vicinity of Toa Payoh.

The police and ICA also conducted similar enforcement operations along Balestier Road and Orchard Road.
A total of 20 women, aged between 18 and 48, were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter Act 1961 and Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990 (EFMA).
Gambling dens
Between Mar. 6 and 7, officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted an enforcement operation against illegal gambling activities in the vicinity of Novena, Toa Payoh and Bukit Timah Road.
A total of 23 men and five women, aged between 20 and 53, were arrested for offences under the Gambling Control Act 2022.
It is understood that one of the raids took place at a Good Class Bungalow (GCB) situated in Bukit Timah.

During the raid of the GCB, around 12 players, 10 men and two women, were questioned by the police.
Chips in place of cash, mobile phones, and other gambling-related paraphernalia were seized as case exhibits.

The GCB was reportedly rented out to a Chinese national who worked with an agent to host games in return for a commission. Players were sourced through social media or acquaintances.

Between Mar. 7 and 8, officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted enforcement operations against illegal gambling activities located in the vicinity of Toa Payoh.
Six men and two women, aged between 50 and 73, were investigated for offences under the Gambling Control Act 2022.
Cash amounting to more than S$3,900 and other gambling-related paraphernalia were seized as case exhibits.
Public entertainment outlets
In addition, enforcement checks were conducted at public entertainment outlets along Selegie Road.

Six women, aged between 22 and 32 were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter Act 1961 and Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990 (EFMA).
