S'pore man, 31, jailed for filming sex with girlfriend & colleague after blindfolding them

After blindfolding his girlfriend, a man in Singapore decided to film their intercourse without her consent.

This occurred on multiple occasions between January and July 2020.

Although his girlfriend caught him red-handed and forced him to delete the videos on each occasion, she became worried that he still kept the footage on his phone, reported The Straits Times.

As such, she lodged a police report in April 2021, and the man was investigated in June 2021.

The girlfriend's fear was not unfounded, as police found four compromising videos of her in the man's possession after seizing his phone and external hard disk drive.

However, the girlfriend was not the only victim the man had targeted, according to ST.

Forensic examinations conducted by the police found at least 44 footage on his devices, which included seven compromising videos of his female colleague taken in June 2021 and upskirt videos of various women taken between 2018 and 2021.

For his colleague, who was in a sexual relationship with the man at the time of his offence, he repeated the tricks he used on his girlfriend and recorded their intercourse without her consent.

Amongst the upskirt videos, two of them were filmed by the man in 2018 after placing his phone under his university coursemate's skirt or dress when she was passing by him or sitting opposite him.

Between 2018 and 2021, he also recorded 10 other upskirt videos of six unknown women.

Sentenced to 8 months & 12 weeks' imprisonment

During court proceedings, the prosecution characterised the man as "a serial offender" who had victimised strangers, friends, and sexual partners over the course of three years, reported ST.

The man, now 31, was sentenced to eight months and 12 weeks in jail on Feb. 26, 2025, after admitting to his offences.

He pleaded guilty to two charges of insulting the women's modesty and two charges of voyeurism.

Another six counts of voyeurism were taken into consideration for his sentencing.

However, the man cannot be named due to a gag order protecting the identities of the women involved in the case.
