In a Facebook update, SCDF said they were alerted to a shophouse fire at 31 Norris Road.
No injuries were reported following SCDF's update at 1pm.
SCDF shared an update on Facebook, stating they were alerted to the fire at about 11:15am.
When they arrived, the fire had engulfed the inside of the two-storey shop house and had spread to adjacent units.
SCDF firefighters deployed two water jets at the exterior of the building to prevent the fire from spreading and used another to fight the fire within the shophouse.
The fire was put out within an hour.
The adjacent shophouses sustained heat and smoke damage.
A car parked in front of the affected shophouse also sustained damage from the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
