Rapper Kanye West, 47, and his architect wife, Bianca Censori, 30, have reportedly split and are heading for divorce after two years of marriage.
According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge confirm that both have sought legal counsel regarding the separation.
The Daily Mail further reported that Censori has accepted a US$5 million (S$6.7 million) settlement.
The news follows the couple's headline-grabbing appearance at the Grammy Awards barely 11 days ago, where Censori appeared nearly naked alongside West.
The provocative stunt sparked concerns that West may have been influencing his wife, who was frequently appearing semi-nude during their marriage.
Vented on X
Days later, West, who also goes by the stage name Ye, launched into an anti-Semitic tirade on social media platform X, declaring himself a Nazi and expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler.
While the platform initially allowed the content, it intervened when West began sharing pornographic links.
According to The Guardian, X owner Elon Musk responded: “Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW (not safe for work). You should not be seeing that anymore.”
West deactivated his account soon after, stating, "I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent."
West also secured a Super Bowl advertising slot for his clothing line, reduced to a single US$20 t-shirt emblazoned with a swastika.
Shopify shut down the site within 24 hours.
Last straw
The New York Post reported that this controversial move was the final straw for Censori.
“The swastika shirt was the last straw. She told him that’s not who she is, and that she can’t be associated with that,” a source revealed.
However, The Hollywood Reporter cited Milo Yiannopoulos, a long-time representative of the couple, who denied the split.
“Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumour in the tabloid press,” he said.
